Associate Pastor
First Baptist Church of LaGrange, Ohio
First Baptist Church (FBC) of LaGrange, Ohio is seeking a full-time Associate Pastor. FBC is a dynamic, family-oriented Bible believing church. We have over 200 members, with regular Sunday service attendance of 200-300 people. We have a strong AWANA program, with about 60 children weekly, and a youth (teen) program that is well attended. We have several young families in our church and a growing membership.
Our previous two Associate Pastors were with us for several years and both have gone on to serve as lead pastors at other churches. Our lead pastor has been with us for 30 years and does an excellent job of mentoring young men in the ministry. We have several strong ministries in our church and many devoted members.
We are looking for an Associate Pastor who can come in and serve along side our lead pastor and membership to continue our growth and win lost souls for Chirst. If you are a humble and hungry servant of Christ, you would fit well with our membership.
We seek a man with a Biblical education (preferably a bachelor’s degree or higher), a sound knowledge of and foundation in the scriptures, a love and passion for people, is motivated to lead, initiate, and implement effective ministries, and will provide a good testimony and witness.
Primary responsibilities include:
•Assist our lead pastor in administrative duties
•Oversee small group ministries
•Oversee the quality and content of our teaching curriculum
•Develop adult ministries that would enhance the growth of our congregation
•Facilitate follow-up with visitors
•Assist new members in connecting with the church family and finding a ministry that fits their interests and talents
•Get to know our members personally and understand their family dynamics
•Assist our youth leaders to ensure we maintain dynamic, Bible based programs to keep our youth interested and engaged in ministry
